Woo hoo, second to last Dr. Sketchy’s Baltimore of 2008!

In other news, it took a little bit, but we’ve now discovered how far our models can go.  No nudity of course, but they can go a little bit further in their costumes than they have in the past sessions, so expect things to be upped a notch from here on out.

Anyways, November 24th, 7 – 10 pm at Dionysus, 8 Preston St, with prizes from Atomic Books.

11/10 Recap with Katia B.

The session on Monday with Katia B. was nuts with easily the biggest turnout we’ve had yet.  Not only that, but we hit capacity really fast, and were turning folks away by 7:30 . . . and we turned away a LOT.

Hell, we even turned away two close friends (sorry Larkin and Jeff!)….so if you want to be absolutely sure you can get in, PLEASE show up fifteen minutes before.  We were were already half-full at that point, so that may not even hold true for much longer.

Not only that, but several members of the media turned out, and when we find out a little bit more about that, we’ll definitely post something here.

In any case, we certainly weren’t expecting that much of a ruckus (as welcome as it is , so we’re going to switch things around a little for the next one.  One, we’ve got permission to abscond with a bunch of the tall chairs from downstairs, which, with a little reorganizing, will create a lot more space and help the back row see a lot better.  Two, I can’t count worth a DAMN, so Bill is going to handle the money from here on out.

Also, if you haven’t noticed, we accidentally had our camera on the wrong setting, so the photos aren’t at the best resolution…..still, hopefully they’ll give you an idea.

BTW, that last photo just took me 45 minutes to upload.  Apparently Katia is too pretty for the internet, cause she broke it.

Oh, and that is SO alcohol abuse if that isn’t a pint of cola.  We’re just going to all pray it was.

In any case, we had a slew of contests as usual with prizes from Atomic Books.  If I remember correctly, this was the winning entry for the James Bond themed contest.

Special thanks to Katia B. for doing a wonderful job, Dionysus for drinks and eats, Lynn, the owner of Dionysus for letting us tear up and put together her dining room (and getting Bill and I positively lit into the wee hours of the morning after everyone left), and Bill for helping me shove around furniture and for stopping me on multiple occasions from handing away $20 change on a $5 bill.

Next session is November 24th with Viola van Wilde of Gilded Lily Burlesque.  There’ll be a post tomorrow with some more announcements and in a few days another one with the new flyer.

Recap of the Halloween Dr. Sketchy’s with Nicolette le Faye!

October 27th’s Halloween session went great….free candy for all (apparently nobody likes Whoppers either, there’s a giant bag of the things sitting on the table in front of me as I type, and no matter how many I eat it never seems to get any smaller…..the Reese’s Cups lasted to maybe the third one-minute pose), Halloween themed contests with prizes from Atomic Books, and a copious amount of alcohol consumed.

Special thanks to Nicolette le Faye, who was amazing (as you can see), Jeff for photos, Bill for keeping the door running smooth, the Dionysus staff for getting us drunk, and Lynn of course for letting us use the dining room in the first place.

Real quick safety alert.

This has nothing to do with Dr. Sketchy’s, but a lot of you folks (including us) live in the Mt. Vernon and MICA area.

Check your damn windows when you get home.

Dr. Sketchy’s is tonight folks at 7!

..with the quite stunning Katia.  

We also updated the FAQ a few days ago with some recent stuff (and fixed a few errors), so if you’re bored, take a gander at it.  I swear, if anyone makes me add a “Can I bring my pet 12′ crocodile to Dr. Sketchy’s?” entry, I’m going to cry.   At the moment though, I think we have just about everything else covered.

(The answer to that question is ‘no’ btw.)

So, Dr. S tonight (Nov. 10) at Dionysus, 7 to 10, at 8 Preston.  Atomic Books has given us given us some great books to give away and Dionysus have your drink on as always, so call in sick, tell the S.O. you have to wash your hair, and sharpen a pencil.

Or charcoal, whatever works. 

A quick note about upcoming dates.

If you take a note of the sidebar on the right, we’ll be taking a break for the holidays…..MICA will be out of town, WE’LL be out of town, and everyone who isn’t out of town will probably have their schedule packed for the holidays. 

That would basically leave poor Bill hosting, posing, and drawing all at once, which, though Bill is great at multi-tasking, the image of him sitting by himself in front of a mirror, crying, trying to draw himself while simultaneously trying to collect a cover from himself is just too sad to contemplate.

So, our last date of 2008 will be Dec 8, and our first date of 2009 will be January 26.

Next Session, November 10th!

 Next session is November 10th, 7 – 10 pm at Dionysus, with Katia B. modelling.

I’ll see if I can get the pictures up for the Halloween session some time in the next day or two, though it’ll have to wait until I get a chance to pick up my bag which, some how or another, got left at the bar on Friday night.  I was the epitome of responsibility that night, so I’m somewhat at a loss as to how that came about.

In any case, next session is the 10th, and we’ll have some recap posts up sometime this week.
